Sustiva/Efavirenz , Advil/Ibuprofin, Aleve/Naproxin, Marinol (sometimes prescribed for wasting; it is synthetic THC), Phenergan & Promethazine (prescribed for nausea) are all known to produce a false positive result on marijuana or THC tests.

Viruses are represented by a 20 sided sphere. To show its scale place an orange on a window sill, The orange represents tha HIV virus, the window represents the pore diameter in latex condoms or gloves. The only reason HIV can't through is cause fluid can't get through. Are you scared yet?

Is it okay for women with HIV/AIDS to be artificially inseminated

Is it okay for women with HIV/AIDS to be artificially inseminated?
I know someone who did and sees no wrong in it. Should this be allowed or should there be a law passed to prevent this disease from possibly spreading?

I dunno, could they still pass the disease on to the embryo?
2 :
Good luck finding a doctor that would let you do this, or a sperm bank.
3 :
I don't know but if it were me i would not want to for fear that I would pass it onto the child or I would not be around to mother the child.
4 :
There are laws against spreading HIV/AIDS. However doctors have been able to inseminate a very few women without affecting the fetus. Now I can't tell you don't how this works, but I think it is better than this woman having sex with someone to have a child. You have to remember that this has only be accomplished in very few cases, the doctor has to deal with the laws about HIV/AIDS.as well.
5 :
Is not ok, because this disease would eventually kill the baby. So what is the point of having a child who is going suffer from day one after they are born by having this deathly disease. No law would ever passed because doctors would not allowed a woman who has AIDS to be artificially inseminate. The person that you know who did it, was probably from another country because doctors in the United States would not artificially inseminate patients with AIDS.
6 :
It is fine!!! They can give medication the the mother that helps prevent the fetus from getting the disease. And you have to remember one thing. A mother's blood and the blood of the fetus NEVER CROSS! EVER! They each have their own blood supplies. And when the baby is ready to be born they can do a c-section. That also helps cut down on exposure to the baby.
7 :
Of course it's wrong, you're intentionally infecting your own child....you know, the idea that every person on the planet should get to have as many babies as they want is what started plagues like HIV/AIDS in the 1st place, it's a natural control placed on overpopulation. If you can't get pregnant/get your wife pregnant, I'm sorry, but TOUGH!
8 :
krunic 05 is right....they can give pregnant moms whom are HIV positive medications while they are pregnant to try to prevent to baby from becoming infected...and it has a high % rate of working... any woman or man has no idea what is in store for them in their life time...you could die at 30 of cancer or live until you are 99 and die of old age...non of us knows...so we are all taking a risk when we decide to have children and create families so no one can really say if there is a right or a wrong to this senereo.... best of luck

Is Uganda doing the right thing banning homosexuality stoping HIV/AIDS

Is Uganda doing the right thing banning homosexuality stoping HIV/AIDS?
Its not communist or a ban on liberty banning homosexuality or is it.?

1 :
Unfortunately for Uganda, heterosexuals spread HIV/AIDS as well.
2 :
They're banning the way people think and what they do behind closed doors - their government is obviously staffed by neanderthals.
3 :
It is stupid. Plenty of straight people have HIV or AIDS. It isn't just homosexuals.
4 :
The bill isn't only directed at AIDS. Most Ugandans believe homosexuality is immoral and that the western is turning its young into gays. It just shows that vicious bigotry exists everywhere. The world could be looking at the next genocide.
5 :
No. The thing that is causing the slight increase in HIV/AIDS in Uganda--after their very good policy in eradicating it in the past decade--is the shift in the government policy from prevention, education and treatment to "abstinence only;" comprehensive sex education and condom promotion are no longer mainstream. And they're not just "banning" homosexuality. Their law states that gays can be executed, and that they can be extradited and prosecuted for homosexual behavior in another country.
6 :
Homosexuals are more likely to contract the disease, but the cesspool of sh!t eating African countries are filled w/ many HIV/AIDS patients (straight and gay) so a ban on homosexuality won't help. I'm against homosexual marriage and the such but what people do in there private homes is no business of mine or any govt. the homosexuals there probably aren't as annoying as the ones here, I'd rather they execute the butt pirates @ parades but....
7 :
It is a desperate attempt. AIDS is running rampant and they need to feel like they are doing something. Unfortunately what they are doing is taking away freedom from its people (the right to love who you choose) and it won't fix the problem.

What do you think about the impacts of HIV/AIDS in the family

What do you think about the impacts of HIV/AIDS in the family?
Family facing with HIV/AIDS Behaviour in family? worse? better? Financial circumstance? worse? better?

1 :
Well personaly IF someone in my family had AIDS i would most likely space my self from them... Not for any rude reason other than the chance of invection of me and my family. So i would say the effects are extencive and tramatic.
2 :
Good question. I was diagnosed HIV+ in 2003 and I have yet to tell my family. I've only told one of my brothers. I'm scared of being disowned especially by my father. I think if I came out and told my family, I'd probably shunned like the plague. I think it depends on the family , how close they are and how supportive they would be of the person infected with HIV/AIDS. Financially I'm fine because my health care pays for everything.
3 :
10 years ago i had to tell my mother and the rest of my family i was positive. they all reacted differently but as a result we are much closer now than ever. i also have a son and a husband who are negative and they are very supportive. financially we have run into a few setbacks with my medications. but what family doesn't have financial setbacks. i feel much better having told my family i don't always feel like I'm hiding.
