I'm just curious how it all works out. I know the overview of the disease, but I'm confused as to how it's connected to homeostasis in the body. Oh, and are helper T-cells and CD4 cells the same thing? Same goes for killer t-cells and CD8..

Main issue with homeostasis I can see is that it prevents the body from fighting infection which is in itself an effort to restore homeostasis (the state of not being infected) Yes, helper T cells = CD4, Killer T cells = CD8 CD4 cells are the main ones that are infected but it can infect some other immune cells.
