I guess no but read that it spread due to eating bush meat which included chimps and many people ate it[mainly europeans and africans].And hence it spread since people didnot notice where it came from.

I think they eat them. No, to getting it on with them. EWwwww Just wondering..........why are there still monkeys and chimps since Darwin thinks we evolved from them. Our relatives are still living in the trees in Africa.

LOL, funny but I'll try not too humor you, but try to give examples of my logic. Chimpanzees genetically are close to us. "Were the hairless ape!" OO Ah ah! :P AIDS is something that can be very fugly. So it's easy for it to affect or effect us.??? I think that was one of the reasons why monkeys were first sent into space, tested helmets,"etc., etc, etc."

Possibly, but it was most likely transferred through the hunting of these apes. All you need is for an infected chimpanzee who's been shot at to bite or bleed on the cut of a hunter and you can get transference. One of the earliest confirmed cases of aids was found in the preserved body of a british sailor who died in the early half of the century. His body was preserved because his symptoms where so strange and couldn't be explained. During one of his trips, he hunted primates. There are also many african diseases that resembled Aids before it became widely known in the Western Societies. Aids as a disease could have passed from ape to human many times over.
