Similarity - If both untreated, it will lead the infected to Death. Difference - 1.TB is by bacteria (Mycobacterium) and AIDS is by virus (HIV). 2.TB can spread through air, where the latter needs physical contact by any possible means. 3.TB is curable, where AIDS not.

They are several movies, but I can only think of Ryan White, who contracted if from a blood transfusion and was treated cruelly by the public and medical community. I only remember because the recent legislation on it was "renewed", .

Oh. I saw that in Health class. If it was about a guy telling kids his story, than I saw it. His name was Doug something. Sorry I can't remember his last name. His wife's name was Evon and his child's name was Ashley. Ashley and Evon lived. He remarried and had a boy named Joshua.

Why is HIV/AIDS more prevalent in Washington DC than West Africa

Why is HIV/AIDS more prevalent in Washington DC than West Africa?
"According to a new report issued by Washington, D.C., officials, the HIV rate in the nation's capital is the highest in the country. Nearly 3 percent of the city's residents are living with HIV/AIDS, a rate higher than in West Africa" Since DC is essentially a direct client of the Federal Government, does this bode well for the future of Nationalized Health Care?

Yes or it could be a different virus. Get to a doctor asap though!
3 :
Those are signs of approaching AIDS but could also be caused by other things. I've put a link below about HIV/ AIDS. you should certainly be seen by a doctor regardless of the cause.
4 :
Those could be symptoms of several different illnesses. See a doctor to get a diagnosis.
5 :
Our bodies do all sorts of weird things, and we tend to Google our symptoms until we have cancer of the eyeball! It's unlikely, but stop worrying and go get tested!

If refugees have a contagious desease such as HIV AIDS are they allowed to live in Australia

If refugees have a contagious desease such as HIV AIDS are they allowed to live in Australia?

1 :
No, in fact they are not allowed to live at all. If we want to wipe out AIDS, we need to wipe out the carriers.
2 :
Refugees with contagious diseases (HIV/AIDS, TB, et al) are not accepted for resettlement anywhere. The UN refugee camps will generally quarantine them to prevent spread to others in the refugee camps. They are not resettle-able.

Hi these days HIV can be contained with drugs as long u adhere to strict medication regimes read below ciao ♥ Human immunodeficiency virus, or HIV, is the virus that causes acquired immune deficiency syndrome (AIDS). The virus weakens a person's ability to fight infections and cancer. People with HIV are said to have AIDS when they develop certain infections or cancers or when their CD4 count is less than 200. CD4 count is determined by a blood test in a doctor's office. Having HIV does not always mean that you have AIDS. It can take many years for people with the virus to develop AIDS. HIV and AIDS cannot be cured. Although people with AIDS will likely one day die from an AIDS-related illness, there are ways to help people stay healthy and live longer. HIV attacks and destroys a type of white blood cell called a CD4 cell. This cell's main function is to fight disease. When a person's CD4 cell count gets low, they are more susceptible to illnesses. AIDS is the final stage of HIV infection. When the immune system CD4 cells drop to a very low level, a person's ability to fight infection is lost. In addition, there are several conditions that occur in people with HIV infection with this degree of immune system failure -- these are called AIDS-defining illnesses A person gets HIV when an infected person's body fluids (blood, semen, fluids from the vagina or breast milk) enter his or her bloodstream. The virus can enter the blood through linings in the mouth, anus, or sex organs (the penis and vagina), or through broken skin. Both men and women can spread HIV. A person with HIV can feel okay and still give the virus to others. Pregnant women with HIV also can give the virus to their babies. Common ways people get HIV: Sharing a needle to take drugs. Having unprotected sex with an infected person. You cannot get HIV from: Touching or hugging someone who has HIV/AIDS. Public bathrooms or swimming pools. Sharing cups, utensils, or telephones with someone who has HIV/AIDS. Bug bites. http://www.webmd.com/hiv-aids/guide/sexu… http://www.stdservices.on.net/std/ http://www.webmd.com/sexual-conditions/default.htm
