Where did you get your HIV/AIDS information?
Such as how the disease is spread, or latency period... In a classroom or at home from relatives who are more educated on this subject?

It helps AIDS to spread.

ahaha ur purty!!!

Hasn't the teacher who set this homework got it the wrong way round? HIV/AIDS affects the things you list rather than the way you have it. And, no, I'm not going to write your homework (even if you guarantee to give me full credit)

is it ok to ask a man to take a HIV/AIDS test before sleeping with him

is it ok to ask a man to take a HIV/AIDS test before sleeping with him?
for the fist time or is that something that is unethical?

Virtually unheard of...but I see no wrong in it. Go for it. Better to be safe than sorry. And maybe he'll be surprised, but at least for his efforts he's going to get some.
2 :
sounds like a great idea
3 :
no its not. If you are worried then you should tell him that you don't want to sleep with him unless you know he is clean.
4 :
It is totally ethical. You have the right to know that the person you are sleeping with is clean. If he isn't comfortable with you enough to do so, then maybe you shouldn't be sleeping together in the first place.
5 :
yea its fine
6 :
No way! There is nothing wrong with two people going to get tested before engaing in intercourse. This should be an definite indicator if this person is def into you. opt for the both of you to go together, if he is adamant about not going then you have your answer.
7 :
Yes you should ask him especially if your not using a condom. There is nothing wrong with that at all.
8 :
Yes, it is definitely okay. I would have asked my current boyfriend had he not already been tested (and was clean).
9 :
There is nothing unethical about protecting yourself! We live in a world where people often have had multiple sexual partners and when you crawl into the bed with someone, you are getting in with their ENTIRE sexual history, including any STD's and past bad habits they have. If you are concerned about the relationship to the point that you are seeking to have assurances and he isn't willing to provide them, move on.
10 :
yeah, that's totally fine. in fact, it's probably a good idea. but you could just make sure he wears a condom instead.
11 :
no do it it saves yourself
12 :
Better to be safe than sorry..
13 :
I think its a good idea!!! I wish everyone would be so safe, there wouldnt be half as many problems in the world!! It is not unethical (or unheard of as the 1st comment said), go to the health department, any clinic, or your (or his) doctor and get it done. Its good to be aware anyway...
14 :
you better if you care about your health. it's always better to be safe than sorry!
15 :
not at all you have to look out for your saftey
16 :
Two things pop into mind. First, I have no idea how I would bring that conversation around. "Hey Bob, you know we've been getting really close and I like you a lot and we're ready to move to a more intimate level in our relationship, but could you take an HIV test?" Not romantic. Second, if you suspect he's at risk I'm not sure he'd be a guy I'd want to date. I know, I know, blood transfusions, his wife cheated on him and he got it, yada yada... still, those aren't the typical ways its contracted. But yeah, if that makes you feel more comfortable absolutely ask him.
17 :
So you would be willing to risk getting a disease that would kill you because you don't want to offend him?! You need to take a self confidence class if you are that worried about pleasing other people.
18 :
yes it is okay if he doesnt want to then leave him there is nothing wrong with trying to be safe
19 :
Yes. This is a good idea, because it's better to know before just in case. It's always better to be safe than sorry and in the end it will be worth it. There's no reason he should refuse to take it, because then he is either just being lazy, which shows that he doesn't value your opinion enough and it is important that he understands why you want him to take one.
20 :
Actually, that is what any responsible person would do. in fact, people should get tested for all major STDs before sleeping with a new partner. I always have gotten tested and asked a new partner to be tested as well before starting a sexual relationship. no one has objected to it. if they did, then I would not date them or have sex with them. it is not unusual for people to get tested, or to ask someone else to. it actually is the ethical responsible thing for everyone to do. everyone needs to protect their own health and future, as well as stop the spread of AIDS and other STDs. You can actually go to the local health department and get a full range of tests for free. good for you for taking charge of your life and being responsible. your health is worth it.

uh yeah, and so has pretty much everyone else.
2 :
yes it is a disease caught by bodily fluids being mixed or contaminated with the infectious disease i.e. if a person with HIV and a normal person have cuts and their blood mixes then the normal person will have it too.

Theoreticly you can, but I think there's a very small possibility of it actually happening. Just in case talk to your doctor.
2 :
highly unlikely seeing that the HIV/AIDS virus only lives for 3 seconds once it exits the blood stream. Bug bites dont usually bleed actively and heavily so no worries. HIV/AIDS isnt contractable like that. You can drink out of the same glass and kidd the person if you wish, its just that when the mucous membranes are compromised (like during sex) or if their blood touches yours (through IV needle usage most of the time) if youre really nervous, go get tested at a clinic. Its usually pretty cheep and its good to know that you are safe.
3 :
guess NO but if you would like to understand more about HIV AIDS you could visit this blog can't fully understand all of those medical things but it helps ^^ good Luck!! http://exa-aids.blogspot.com/

not likely, but yes it is possible
2 :
Robert, AIDS is a result of the effects of HIV and AIDS can not be caught or passed to anyone else. HIV is passed from an infected person to another through the body fluids that contain enough HIV to infect someone, these are - seminal fluid, vaginal fluids, including menstrual fluids, breast milk, blood, the mucous found in the rectum, “pre-cum” which is the colloquial name for pre-ejaculatory fluid which neutralizes the acidity in the man's urethra. Other body fluids, like saliva, sweat or urine, do not contain enough of the virus to infect another person. Therefore, ways that HIV can be transmitted are - through sexual intercourse and other sexual activities, from mother to baby, and from blood to blood. So, if you kissed the mosquito bite of a person already infected with HIV, and if that bite was suppurating blood, if you had any open sores around your mouth or face that may have been in contact, there is a possibility that you might become infected. As an addendum, if you are considering if a mosquito can pass HIV from an infected person to the next person that it bites, studies with HIV clearly show that the virus responsible for the HIV/AIDS infection is regarded as food to the mosquito and is digested along with the blood meal. As a result, mosquitoes that ingest HIV-infected blood digest that blood within 1-2 days and completely destroy any virus particles that could potentially produce a new infection. Since the virus does not survive to reproduce and invade the salivary glands, the mechanism that most mosquito-borne parasites use to get from one host to the next is not possible with HIV.
