Will Obama's lifting the HIV/AIDS travel ban result in ifnected raspists flloding America

Will Obama's lifting the HIV/AIDS travel ban result in ifnected raspists flloding America?
OH Titanide you just think you're so clever don't you? Yes I know those words are misspelled. Since you have a spellchecker as I do, you picked up on it fast! I had to mispell the words to get past Y!A's fascist filter. NeoNerd: Actually I do. Y!A has gone to extremes.

"Ifnected raspists"? And how does someone go about "flloding"?
2 :
YES, now he wants an epidemic of people who will infect millions of Americans. and who will pay for their medical, we the taxpayers. Does this person use his brain at all, I don't think so.
3 :
Err, you don't need to misspell either rapist or flooding.
4 :
NO. that's just something a fear mongering Conservative would want you to think. You know? somebody like "Kize" LOL! I guess the swine flu and leprosy rhetoric didn't work, so they are going to try HIV/AIDS? http://www.alternet.org/rights/54185/ Lou Dobbs Persists in Promoting Lies about Immigrant Leprosy Cases For more than four years, CNN's Dobbs has spread one one-sided -- and in some cases outright false -- information to attack undocumented migrants.
5 :
Jeez, he really is scraping the bottom of the barrel looking for votes isn't he. Just who in hell is he trying to be.. Christ? Oh wait, can't be , he isn't even christian. Whatever, I am sick of him and his bleeding heart and oh so sly ways!
6 :
of course it will, they'll all be over here getting their very expensive treatment at the expense of US taxpayers. How thoughtful of him. We should keep him in office for the next 12 years. Oh wait, that won't be possible. There won't be any US left at that point, Obama will have destroyed us.

Prepare Build yourself an outline for the film, just like you would when writing a paper or a book. Be sure to include the "purpose" for the film. Let the audience know why you made the film and why you want them to watch. Mess this up and your film will be messed up. Get a crew together that you know you can depend on and has experience with the equipment they will be using. ex. someone to run the camera, someone to handle the audio, someone to work the lighting, and someone to do the interviewing. TV news crews do this type of stuff all the time. Might be worth a trip to your local tv station first. Have them show you how they do it. Content Include what aids is, how it can be contracted and transmitted, how it is evaluated and tested, and how it is treated. Also include the human factor. Maybe follow the life of a student with aids. How does it affect that person's life, friends, family, etc. What do medical professionals think about aids and how do they deal with it. Research Contact several people who deal with aids and get their input: Medical, testing centers, law enforcement and other public contact services. Interview them on camera if they are willing. Be sure your microphone pics up well, and you have good lighting or bring your own lights. Interview hospital workers and those persons affected by aids: the person themselves, the parents, the kids, etc. Schedule Be sure to have a schedule worked out at to who you will be filming and when. Be sure that your crew is also scheduled and available for that time period. Shooting Shoot 10:1 that is, shoot 10 times more video than you think you will use. Believe me, it's much better to have stuff to edit out than to not have enough. You often can't go back to get more later. Also be sure to film plenty of "fill" video, not just people's faces on camera. Quality Be sure the scene is well lighted, the audio is clear and loud enough to be understood [i.e. no background noices like traffic] and be sure the camera is in focus and has the things you want to film be properly framed in the shot. If you film's quality is good, no one will notice. If it is bad, out of focus, can't understand what it being said etc. no one will watch. Prepare Equipment Test film samples to see how your equipment performs before actually going to film and finding something doesn't work right. Be sure batteries are all charged and that you have extension cords and connectors for you lights, a backup mic and batteries for it, spare batteries for the camera, extra video tape, etc. Editing Pinnacle Studio 10 is a great little piece of software for editing a non-professional video. Pinnacle Liquid is a more professional software package. Whatever you use, be sure the computer will run it well, the person editing knows the software well. [Pinnacle is very easy to learn.] Publishing Format Pinnacle will allow you to "print out" the editied video in the form of a computer file, a dvd, a cd, or a vcr tape. If you plan to finalize the video onto film, well then you are beyond my experience. I used to use super 8 way back when, but nothing else. Hope this helps. I'm sure someone else, professional, can give many more good suggestions.

Keep saying 100% preventable disease..yet more money is spent on research than all cancers combined????

What are some controversies surrounding the HIV/AIDS:Federal Needle Exchange Program

What are some controversies surrounding the HIV/AIDS:Federal Needle Exchange Program?

STDs - 4 Answers
Random Answers, Critics, Comments, Opinions :
1 :
Some people believe that providing needles to drug users is like the government supporting an illegal habit. Funding for the program is also an issue for some.
2 :
I agree with the first poster. Some believe it's like giving drug addicts permission to use illegal drugs, making it more convenient for them.
3 :
what the others said.... i believe though you must supply a safe exchange, because they will do it regardless, its not that simple, if they cared about there body that much they wouldnt be doing it in the first place, if it meant either get a fix or not they will use that used dirty needle. so having a safe exchange is a good idea if we want to stop hiv and other diseases from spreading
4 :
Some people say it promotes drug use

how long does it take for HIV/AIDS to mutate the cells they mutate

how long does it take for HIV/AIDS to mutate the cells they mutate?
seconds, minutes?

Everyone's immune system is different, but it can days, months, or years. Some people are carriers their whole lives but never develope full blown aids but just pass it on.
2 :
1. AIDS is a stage 4 HIV infection. The two terms are not interchangeable. You are speaking of the virus itself, not one of its stages. #2. HIV doesn't mutate cells. CD4 T-cells are the main target of the virus. CD4 is a protein on the surface of a T-cell. The protein, the antigen, on the surface of the HIV capsule is gp120 antigen and it is a mirror image of the CD4 protein. If HIV bumps into the right place on the T-cell's surface, the gp120 of the virus will lock onto the CD4 site of the T-cell. This will be the port of entry. The virus injects its capsule surrounded contents with the viral RNA and the reverse transcriptase inside of it into the T-cell. To make the rest of this short, once inside the T-cell, the capsule dissolves and the RNA and reverse transcriptase are free. In order to infect the cell, the viral RNA needs to travel into the T-cell's nucleus where it changes the rules and converts the cell into a virus factory. But the viral RNA needs to become DNA to start replicating. Reverse transcriptase allows the RNA to borrow material from the cell and to "write backwards" a chain of viral DNA. Once transformed, the viral DNA will travel into the T-cell's nucleus and attach itself to the cell's DNA. At this point, if the T-cell is activated, it will start producing new virus instead of performing normal T-cell functions. Eventually, the T-cell is destroyed and the new viruses move on to the next victims. It's hard to say how long this process takes. Sometimes the virus remains dormant for months or even years inside the T-cell. Sometimes the virus divides into 2 proviruses before replication begins. I can't tell you in second or minutes or hours but when it happens, it happens quickly.

Why is homosexuality so associated with HIV/AIDS

Why is homosexuality so associated with HIV/AIDS?
From my understanding, everybody can get hiv, so what's with the gay hiv jokes?

there is still the sterotype that it is a "gay" disease.
2 :
from my understanding it may have been a higher incidence rate in the gay community at one point because of people being in denial and not wanting to use condoms. that is not the case now, i belive african amercian and latino women are the higher numbers now (dont quote me) the jokes jokes and association are just born out of ignorance and hate. people are not educating themselves, because yes, ANYONE can get aids/hiv. it doesnt care how much money a person has or where they come from or what skin color they have i did a quick internet search and saw this site (take your time and browse it, it looks like it has some good info) hope this helps, :) Jas
3 :
Because when Aids first was found it was more common in the gay community and the main public especially the homophobic community choose the gay community as an excuse to why the AIDS was around. But like any virus in time it has spread more rapidly amongst the heterosexual community now a days due to lack of knowledge or plan stupidity.
4 :
At first it was mostly just the gays and drug users getting HIV/AIDS, that was the way it was televised at first. JED
5 :
Anyone can get HIV/AIDS, men, women, children, gay, straight, bisexual, rich or poor. I think people are so scared of HIV/AIDS, that they want to distance themselves from it, so they make

How long has hiv/aids been around

How long has hiv/aids been around?
where did it supposedly come from?
Politics - 10 Answers

1 :
There are many "theories" of where it came from and started - even some guy they call "patient zero" - a male stewardess I believe. mid 80's
2 :
It most likely jumped species from the Simian form SIV sometime in the early 20th century The first human documented HIV case is sometime in the late 1950s http://www.cnn.com/HEALTH/9802/03/earliest.aids/ Actually according to this, possibly in 1908 http://en.wikinews.org/wiki/Study_estimates_first_human_HIV_infection_100_years_ago
3 :
They suspect that it came from Africa from people eating gorillas and monkeys. They've known about it in the US since 1985. I suspect that it spread during the 60's and 70's when alot of people were not aware of unprotected sex or sharing needles. (Lots of people did hard drugs and had unprotected sex back then).
4 :
came from Africa late 70s
5 :
It was first identified about 1980. The first cases were found in Africa and in New York City. It spread rapidly from these points.
6 :
First human case was reported in 1978. Two theories of origin: 1. Contracted from primates in Africa. 2. Created in a lab by scientists for population control.
7 :
Let me check with Reverend Wright. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PvL9dLeDcSU
8 :
There is speculations about where it come from, and that was the butchering of the Green Vervet Monkeys in Africa in or around the 1950s. But other studies have shown that the virus may have been around a lot longer but mutated into one that causes the extreme illnesses we see today, as there are individuals with generic immunity to the virus. And then you get the group that some how think it came from perverted sexual relations with a monkey the size of a house cat in the 1960s or 70s. Either way, it did not come from sexual relations with monkeys, it has probably been around a lot longer than most suspect as doctors in places like Africa did not have the means to understand the illnesses people were dying from. The virus was isolated in the 1980s and this also happens to be when the world started to see major outbreaks of the virus, or at least unexplained illnesses only normally seen in a few people a year around the world with weakened immune systems.
9 :
yes

I subscribe to the theory that AIDS was inadvertently developed by scientists in Africa working on a polio vaccine. Is it still possible to get HIV/AIDS when you and your partner are in a monogamous relationship

Is it still possible to get HIV/AIDS when you and your partner are in a monogamous relationship?
...let's say both of you since birth were HIIV/AIDS free? Is it still possible? Oh i see. Sorry i didn't make myself clear. What I was thinking!? I was trying to ask... if there's a possibility to transmit HIV/AIDS through sexual intercourse even though that you're both HIV/AIDS free. That's it! Thanks!!
STDs - 4 Answers
Random Answers, Critics, Comments, Opinions :
1 :
No it is not possible. HIV must be present in one of you and is passed through bodily fluids.
2 :
only possible if one is lying and cheating and or needle sticks or been exposed to INFECTED blood products or body fluids. Oral sex can also transmit HIV.
3 :
It would only be possible through methods other than sexual transmission such as intravenous drug use (sharing a needle with an infected person) or through receiving a blood transfusion with infected blood (most countries now have an effective screening program making this highly unlikely), needle stick injuries (as already mentioned) etc.
4 :
Yes, if either of you have had sex before the relationship began.
