Some people believe that providing needles to drug users is like the government supporting an illegal habit. Funding for the program is also an issue for some.

I agree with the first poster. Some believe it's like giving drug addicts permission to use illegal drugs, making it more convenient for them.

what the others said.... i believe though you must supply a safe exchange, because they will do it regardless, its not that simple, if they cared about there body that much they wouldnt be doing it in the first place, if it meant either get a fix or not they will use that used dirty needle. so having a safe exchange is a good idea if we want to stop hiv and other diseases from spreading
