just go to the doctor they can help you more than any of us can. (however, i think you should be fine.....as long as it wasn't genital to genital...or you giving him oral sex....but like i said...it's probably best to go to the doctor just to make sure....)
2 :
The only way that he could have transmitted the HIV virus is if his gums were bleeding. The virus is not present in saliva. If you have contracted it (most likely haven't though) an HIV screen isn't going to pick it up for perhaps several weeks though because the screen only detects the antibodies that you will make towards the virus. You might want to go to you doctor and tell him your concerns and ask if he could do an HIV by PCR. That test DIRECTLY picks up the HIV virus's genetic material instead of the antibodies you make to it. My guess is that you really have nothing to worry about if the guy wasn't actively bleeding in his mouth.
3 :
Yes, it is possible for either partner to become infected with HIV through performing or receiving oral sex. There have been a few cases of HIV transmission from performing oral sex on a person infected with HIV. While no one knows exactly what the degree of risk is, evidence suggests that the risk is less than that of unprotected anal or vaginal sex. If the person performing oral sex has HIV, blood from their mouth may enter the body of the person receiving oral sex through * the lining of the urethra (the opening at the tip of the penis); * the lining of the vagina or cervix; * the lining of the anus; or * directly into the body through small cuts or open sores. The best and safest thing to do is go get yourself checked out.
4 :
yes, cause theres no telling what he have in his body and thats nasty anyway. so go see a doctor immediately.
5 :
It has never been documented before. The activity you described would be placed in the theoretical risk category (below low risk). No one can say you can't get it from that activity because there could be an exchange of his body fluids. He would have to be visibly bleeding from the mouth AND your genitals would have to be compromised in some way (cuts, tears, STIs, etc.,). And remember, that you do not even know his HIV status for sure. I wouldn't worry about it, but it is always a good idea to get tested for HIV regularly anyway. So, take this as an opportunity to get tested. Just because this activity was very very low risk, doesn't mean other activities you have engaged in are as low risk. Get tested annually regardless of your perceived risk. That is your best bet.
6 :
Im not an expert But i have learned alot on the topic. Some Dr. will tell you oral sex is not a threat. I believe there would be a small chance. very small chance. For one, you dont know that he has hiv, for 2 you dont know if there was a cute, or blood, and you dont know if you came in contact with it, With the chance being so small I wouldnt worrie a lot. get tested, but remember there is a window period, so testing wouldnt be accurate untill 6 more weeks, good luck
7 :
Yes consult a doctor. You can get prophylactic anti-retroviral drugs to prevent an infection from being established. It's standard routine for medical workers who are exposed. But you have to do it quickly.

Why do most Africans still suffer from poverty and hiv/aids not excluding hipatetis B

Why do most Africans still suffer from poverty and hiv/aids not excluding hipatetis B?
Do recipient countries use the money for the real projects or it is been diverted to other sectors?

let's see, 10 million whites and 50 million blacks but the whites control everything. in countries where blacks are in control genocide is common practice. in countries which are well off but have black governments they are corrupt or align with those who are terrorists (remember libya?) no one is intrested in helping their own people. the most biggest lie are companies that tout sending supplies to help those in need, the majority of medicine is outdated and those that send baby formula for example forget that there is no sanitary water to mix it with so babies keep on dying.
2 :
Becouse they are not Jesus believer , becouse if any one is in Jesus , God will give that person any thing he needs, and will cure that person from any desease, and overall will take him to heaven when he leave this word, occidental cultures are in a better position becouse we use to be christians but not any more , homosexual can get married , drugs , and many thing that jesus hate are hapening iun aur countrys , so God will leave un if we keep in that behaivor( sorry for my english, i m a spanish speaker)

SEX OFFENDER or HIV-AIDS. If you had to be one or the other what would you choice

SEX OFFENDER or HIV-AIDS. If you had to be one or the other what would you choice?
If you had to choice from the most horrible and misunderstood situations. As a sex offender all you need to be is accused regardless of guilt. The burden of proof is on the accused! sad really! there are a lot of innocent people register for the rest of their natural life as a sex offender! What would you choose and why?

I'd prefer neither thank you, but labeling people as sex offenders and putting them in jail gets politicians votes and the more Americans who are in jail, the lower our unemployment rate drops, I don't see unfair laws being changed any time soon. Oh it also makes other Americans feel all warm and fuzzy inside knowing our government is monitering sex offenders.
3 :
if I was a sex offender I would want AIDS so I would die a horrible painful death like i deserved..
4 :
First off you have to be CONVICTED to be a Sex offender. Most convictions are based on evidence. Would rather be a sex offender, because that could be from peeing in public(how many drunks have done that).
5 :
Any time someone is accused of a crime they are presumed guilty until proven innocent because that is human nature. I'm able to choose if I want to be a sex offender or not and Im also able to choose to have HIV by having unprotected sex. I choose to have neither

This could happen to anyone. In order for you to be infected, there had to have been a fluid exchange. If there was no blood coming from your skin yet, you have nothing to worry about. Also, if there was no blood from her, you have nothing to worry about. Even if her blood got into yours, you the chances that you got HIV on this day are extremely slim. Rest well honey, okay? God bless.

Well, I would assume wherever you got the test done at they should explain to you what it means exactly. Or you should be able to call up your doctor's office & ask a nurse or ask your doctor. Here are some links that might help you... good luck!

do you think there will ever be a cure for hiv/aids

do you think there will ever be a cure for hiv/aids?
i was just wondering if people think we will ever see a cure for hiv/aids in our lifetime. also, do you think the government has a cure but they dont want to market it because the drug companies would lose so much money? i was just wondering people's opinions on this.

yes.
2 :
maybe one day.
3 :
first of all we'll more then likely see a cure within the next few generations.. and the government doesn't have a cure... there are no drug companies making money from HIV/AIDS only people dying
4 :
they found a cure already... check the website i included its not passed by the fda or clinical trials but its definitely a huge step in getting there. its also not proved to treat all patients but has definitely cured one person thus far. how long til a cure passes, well in our generation is a definite posibility.
5 :
I do not believe that there is a cure for HIV. The main reason there is no cure at this point is that the virus mutates (changes) so much, that any vaccine or treatment may kill or prevent one or two mutations, but not all of them. Progress has been made; I hope there will be a cure someday, but I don't know if it will be in my lifetime. (I am 35 yrs old.)

7 :
It is possible that HIV will be eradicated from the earth in our lifetimes. This could occur whether or not there ever is a "cure" for the disease. Diseases can be controlled through combinations of three things: 1. Cures that kill the disease germs after they get into the body. Antibiotics do this for many bacterial diseases, such as strep throat. 2. Vaccines that prevent you from getting the disease in the first place even if you are exposed. Only a fraction of the population has to be vaccinated for a disease to die out in a population. 3. Global programs to reduce the spread of the disease. All that is required for a disease to die out is that its spread be reduced enough that each infected person in turn infects, on average, fewer than one uninfected person. Combinations of these three have eliminated smallpox from the earth, even though there is no cure for smallpox, once someone is infected. The same seems to be within grasp for polio and certain diseases. Specifically about HIV, on Point 1, there is no "cure" today, but anti-retroviral drugs slow the disease down so much in the body that people can lead a half-way normal life if they keep up the drugs for life. Many research groups are working to find cures, but there is no way to know from where, or if ever, it will arrive. On Point 2, there is no vaccine today either. This has been very elusive, in part because the virus changes its form so rapidly once it gets into the body that is is like developing 1000 vaccines to hit each of its diverse forms. On Point 3, this may be possible even without solutions for Points 1 and 2. Despite how it spreads and destroys societies, it still spreads relatively slowly, compared with many other diseases. A study that hit the world press recently gives hope that if we had near-100% HIV testing worldwide coupled with today's anti-retroviral drugs, that would change the disease from an expanding to a contracting epidemic, and cause it ultimately to vanish from the world. Everybody in the field is working very hard to reverse this new world plague of humanity. Nobel prizes are waiting for those who solve it. Nobody, in government, industry, acedemia, or elsewhere, has a solution that they are just keeping secret. This and other STDs are simply one of the great, difficult, elusive, devastating problems of the 21st century yet to be solved.

Can you get HIV/AIDS from Kissing if you have caries

Can you get HIV/AIDS from Kissing if you have caries?
I know you can't get HIV from just kissing(with the toungue), but I wonder if you have caries(in your teeth), can you get infected? Are there any diseases you can get from kissing(except possible HIV/AIDS)? If I have CARIES(teeth) and the girl DOES NOT bleed, can I get diseases from her saliva?

You can get it from kissing if the infected person has bleeding gums. And you have an open soar in your month. Becareful
2 :
How did you learn you can't get HIV from kissing? Minimal blood contact is enough to risk infection. All it takes is a tiny cut on you and a tiny cut on the partner (assuming, of course, it is just the one hehe), and there is a risk there. Of course, its very slight, but any contact between the person's bloods, and there is a risk. Make sure you get tested regularly, for STDs; HIV, chlamydia...
3 :
The only way you could possibly get HIV from kissing someone who has HIV is if you both have bleeding gums or open cuts in your mouths. If you kiss someone who has oral herpes, you could get oral herpes, even if the person does not have an outbreak at the time.
4 :
Kissing is not a risk for contracting HIV. There has been no reported cases of HIV transmission through kissing in 25 years of this epidemy and you are not going to be the first one. Just relax. You cannot get HIV from kissing someone.
5 :
You can't get HIV/AIDS from saliva, but you can get it from blood. So make sure the girl doesn't have and blood in her mouth.
