Do HIV/AIDS patients have to inform their partners?
Does anyone know of a credible source that states whether or not people diagnosed with HIV/AIDS have to inform all of their previous sexual partners of their diagnosis?

Yes its a law to tell anyone you may come into contact with like dentist, doctor, partner please inform them unless you want to go to jail because they can sue you

I respectfully disagree with the first answerer. I live in the state of Louisiana and in this state it is a felony to have HIV and to not inform your sexual partner or your doctors and or your dentist. If you infect another person with them not knowing the truth they have the right to prosecute and you will go to prison. It is a law in this state and it should be a law in all states. It is wrong to give it to others.

is there a african tribe out there that is immune to Hiv/aids virus?
a long time back i heard there was a tribe in africa that were immune to Aids/Hiv...

No, I think not. I did see a documentary though about how some people are resistant to it, but they aren't sure exactly why. They said that the some of same people who have been found resistant to HIV are decendants of people who seemed to be resistant to the black plague... seems theres some link there. Maybe once they figure out what it is for sure, there'll be a cure! This is EXTREMELY rare though and doesn't occur in large groups of people.... like a whole tribe!

their may be some tribes that do not have the aids, HIV virus in the tribe ,, but that means that it has not arrived yet in the village.. but no man woman or child in the world is immune to this disease..........

I'm not sure about an entire tribe, however, there are a few individuals that seem to have "beaten" the virus. A couple that comes to mind are a mother/daughter team of whores.

I think at one time...actually not very long ago...this was the case. it all started because it seemed the gay community was most widely affected. but now, african american females have the highest percentages of HIV/AIDS.

Yes. HIV/AIDS is essentially a disease spread by male-male anal sex and IV drug use (shared needles). There is a large contigency that wants this truth suppressed because they are trying to protect gays from discrimination....which one could argue is leading more and more gay people to their deaths.

There is a trend which has led many ignorant people to believe that HIV/AIDS is a "gay" disease and anyone who has contracted it has participated in a homosexual activity. While it is true that there does appear to be some correlation between the sexual orientation of someone and their chances to contract HIV, this is not to say that heterosexuals are immune to it in any sense of the word. As far as medical proof, I'm afraid that I can't think of any study that found a definitive correlation. If you're scared about the prospect of contracting it through homosexual relations, then it's probably more irrational than you realize. You have the same risk of contracting it regardless of the sex of the individual you are having sex with. Regardless of who you are having sex with, using a condom SIGNIFICANTLY reduces the risk of un-planned pregnancy, STDs, and AIDS. It is also a good idea to urinate after sex as soon as possible as the acid in your urine can kill most STDs that you may have inadvertantly contracted. Regardless of how careful you are, there is always a possibility of getting an STD or AIDS, as such you should do your best to be aware of your partner's conditions if any exist. Should you manage to contract it: A) It is not God taking his vengance upon the homosexual agenda [I don't like to get religious, but come on...] B) Don't Panic.... There are plenty of ways to treat it and it's mortality rate is far lower than it was in the '80s when it first appeared. C) refrain from having sexual contact with anyone in danger of contracting it from you (which is everyone who doesn't already have it). D) Contact all partners that you have been with as soon as possible and tell them to get themselves tested. E) people with AIDS can lead a very normal life. man to man sex is the easiest most efficient way to pass on the HIV Virus. Tissue in the rectum is very thin and tears easily, making it VERY likely that partners of HIV positive gay men will contract the virus after one act of intercourse. The odds are higher that hetero sex, lesbian sex and even needle sharing. so yes, it is an easily spread disease amongst the gay community. and it is an epidemic in gay communities.
