Yes. There are many may other diseases that kill far more people and are easily preventable (often grouped under the Preventable Tropical Diseases category). Many of them can be treated, and many of them can be prevented with clean water and adequate food. HIV gets all th money and headlines, and it's important, but it's not the only disease worth treating.
