On the 27th of January 2008 an article appeared in a Zambian paper that they tested Depo provera and found that it contained the HIV virus. This particular batch was sent to them in November last year by USAID. Please help we are all afraid. If there are any labs to test for us we can purchase the Depo for you.

The only reference that I could find to this myth was in a story published in 2004 detailing how the World Health Organization could be enabling the spread of HIV/AIDS in Africa by using Depo instead of giving out condoms. I am 99.9% sure that HIV is not in any doses of Depo.
