what percent of gay people actually have hiv/aids

what percent of gay people actually have hiv/aids?
im gay and i want to know. ive heard its higher in gay people but i dont know if thats true.

Ive read that straight women who have had sex with hetero men are a higher percent,than gays.

A high percentage i guess. now that i think of it.i will never date again.

It really depends on which country you look at and which particular demographic. Unfortunately it does tend to be higher amongst gay populations than straight populations (at least in Europe and the US), but that's mostly due to our higher biological vulnerability and the unfortunate persistence of unsafe sexual practices in society that originated during the periods when homosexuality was illegal and sexual encounters had to remain covert. It's an unpleasant truth, but you can't argue with statistics.
