I know it is possible if your partner is infected, what if niether you, nor your partner has HIV/AIDS? Oral s*x that is.

Oral sex is not safe if you swallow. you have no idea if your partner was faithful or not. Don't jeopardize your health, my friend. Play safely. I would go get tested in a few months, and again in another few months, for my own peace of mind.

HIV-AIDS is transferred through all exchange of fluids. If neither of you is infected, then neither of you can get it from the other. Have a test done if you're not sure, but remember it can take months for the infection to show up in the blood.

ok...listen here. If neither person has HIV/AIDS....YOU CAN'T GET IT! IT DOES NOT MAGICALLY APPEAR! IF YOU OR YOUR PARTNER TURN OUT TO GET IT, IT MEANS THEY GOT IT FROM YOU OR SOMEONE ELSE! HIV TAKES A MINIMUM OF 6 MONTHS FROM THE TIME OF INFECTION TO APPEAR IN A LAB TEST, SO IF YOU WANT TO BE SURE THAT YOU DON'T HAVE IT, WAIT 6 MONTHS W/O HAVING ANY SEX WHATSOEVER, AND GET TESTED. IT'S NOT A GUARANTEE EVEN AFTER 6 MONTHS...THAT'S WHY HIV/AIDS IS CONSIDERED AN EPIDEMIC.

I'm not sure about the ingestion of semen as a way to get infected with the virus, however, I find it highly unlikely as HIV is such a fragile virus. I don't believe that the virus could withstand the attack from the gastric juices in the stomach. However, letting you partner ejaculate in you mouth is not a good idea as you may have cuts or scrapes that you don't know about. This is probably the most likely way that you would get the virus from oral sex. Always take precautions when you have sex with anyone, whether it's with a long term partner or with a one-night stand. The HIV virus can remained undetected for a long time in the body (up to six months) and this poses a risk because you can come up with false negative test results and engage in risky behavior. I cannot reiterate enough---ALWAYS use protection when having sex. Be safe!

the only way to get hive with oral sex if the one person has an open wound. if the fluid from the other person comes in contact with the person with the wound the the wounded person may become HIV +. HIV is a fragile virus and can not handle an open environment. that is why the risk of HIV infection thru oral sex is very slim.
