Does anybody know or have a strong opinion about where hiv/aids originated from

Does anybody know or have a strong opinion about where hiv/aids originated from?
I ask because my friend believes a government conspiracy theory against black people. My other friend believes it came from apes or gorillas through beastiality. Someone else told me its a plague from God. This is something we had a friendly debate about and I was wondering what other people thought.

well scientifically its been said to have come from some guy having sex with monkeys in africa, but thats about all i know about it

I believe that it was the bestiality theory.

It evolved from related viruses (simian immunodeficiency viruses) which are common in many species of primates. Humans are a species of primate. HIV1, the commonest type of HIV, first appeared in chimpanzees, and then spread to chimps' closest relatives, humans, probably in the 1930s. It's unlikely this was through sexual contact. Chimps don't like having sex with humans, and they are strong and have sharp teeth. It is more likely to have crossed over by blood to blood contact to a human hunter who was butchering a chimp for food, and cut himself in the process. Of course, no one knows for sure. Neither the government conspiracy theory nor the plague from God theory have any evidence.

It does originate from Africa and the -first reported case is from monkeys infected with the disese scratching s creating open wounds on the skin. A guy did not have sex with monkeys.
